Oia 32'

fullsizeoutput_1aa7.jpeg

The Oia 32’ is essentially an enlarged version of the Oia 26’. With a longer boat, this allows for larger features. For instance, the main helm is slightly raised to allow for better sigh lines for the captain. Next to the helm is an entrance into the stateroom and head at the bow. Behind the helm is a long Cadillac style couch the spans the entire width of the boat providing lavish seating for guests. Behind the couch is a sun lounge inspired by classic Riva models. The sun lounge also doubles as a float and can be set afloat on the water to lie on when anchored. When the float is removed from its place at the stern, underneath reveals a small jacuzzi style pool for guests to relax in while the boat in sedentary. The exterior is also inspired by the island of Santorini with the oval and circular shaped port holes at the bow to allow natural light into the stateroom and the eye shaped side window that runs farther aft near the helm. This window is inspired by the sideview mirrors designed for the Pagani Huarya and also inspired by the shape of a woman’s eye. There is also a diving platform at the stern for swimming that runs the width of the stern and has a reach of two feet.

Limestone Sink

fullsizeoutput_1ac1.jpeg

This limestone sink is designed to have a natural drain. It is inspired by the limestone in the Gulley that I used to hike in Upstate New York when I was younger. The limestone would naturally wear away wherever the water was flowing. Over time the water would create a natural channel in the limestone. That is my goal with this sink, to create a drain that creates a natural path from the faucet into the sink and through the drain. The drain in this sink will actually be hidden away at a 90 degree angle so that it creates an effect like the water is disappearing into the rock. This will all be one slab of limestone and have the natural contours in the sink.

This is a lounge chair sculpted with clay. The goal of this model is to create the curvature of the chair that would naturally fit with the curvature of the body while lying down. The foot and leg contour at the end of the chair is inspired by the front of my favorite car the, Pagani Huayra. The chair also has a build-in table for easy access that can be removed and folded into the side of the chair when needed similar to an airplane tray table. The table is coming out from the right side primarily because with my own considerations of being left-handed, this is easier to use for me.
